Tell me something, when was the last time you went or got invited to some person's house to celebrate a party or maybe some kind of get-together dinner that serves weird native food?
Quite far from the kind of food that you usually eat.
For instance.. some of the dishes would include chicken's feet that's marinated and baked; roasted pig ears, tongue, and intestine; fish liver a la carté; banana shoot salad; some seaweed salad and lots more I don't know how to describe.

Well, I've been on many of them here in the Philippines! It's so exciting! Food after food and more food! Especially on BIG Fiestas! There are like lots of colorful occasions here! But the exotic foods really captured the best of my curiosity. Okay, so despite of how "umm.." it looks like.. Out of respect, you try to dare yourself to eat because it's like not very polite to reject it. It wasn't very pleasing at first but it's one kind of experience I would never wanna forget! Actually it was all weird.. but in an awesomely fun way! ..Imagine eating pig's tongue... XD!

My whole adventure felt just like that. You'd never know what it'll taste like until you've really tasted it. Some are just bad but most of them are really good. I don't really like the pollution and crowdedness here so it was best that I stayed out of Manila, the capital. I stayed in my Mom's town, Iloilo City, down in the middle part of the country. And its so much better! I don't really have much difficulty speaking the language since it was my original tongue from the beginning. It's just the 'dialect recalling' I'm having a problem with. Some people find me really weird speaking at first... but I've made good friends that taught me how to speak the dialect. And I've actually developed the accent in less than 2 months XD!

I dare myself on a lot of times.. And the experience I get is irreplaceable!
It feels really different being here.. It's already been 3 months since I left UAE but so many cool things have happened. I passed the exams and got enrolled in a really big university here. So how's my college been? if you ask. Well.. it's definitely better than high school! They have Graphic Design Elective courses and evenAdvertising in the Computer Studies Department! That's where I'm enrolled at right now. Srsly. I SO enjoy the course I'm taking and its actually leading me 'somewhere'!...

I'm actually surprised that I'm starting to get irritated with the rainy weather here. At first it was "OMG! IT'S RAINING!!" XD I would get SO psyched about it cu'z it almost never rains in the UAE. But y'know more rain and more rain and the next day, its the same. Going through it almost daily started getting on my nerves.. It's no wonder some people hate rainy weather. Lol, I actually get it now.
There are lots of times I really wish I wouldn't get soaky shoes before entering the classroom on a rainy day. And the Campus is so huge.. like 24 hectares huge! I almost always get late on lots of my classes cuz my next class is like waay over there. And I have to run around campus.. with 3 inch cigarette heels just to get to the next class! I had to wear heels to avoid getting my feet soaked on rainy days.. but even despite of already avoiding the water, I still get soaked!

I really find it funny imagining myself busily stumbling through the day and enjoying it than my oftenly lazy and busy life in the UAE and hating it cuz it's often boring. I've learned so much here. I live by myself now on our Campus Dormitory. Independence can be really fun cuz NO PARENTS!!! But it gets quite hard when you terribly miss them.. especially at times when you don't get allowances anymore.. TT__TT It's tough when you run out of money.
But I try to stick to this one rule my mom keeps reminding me.. "NO BOYFRIENDS!" .. LMAO XD
I'm like okay, okay.. enough rubbing that in already.
I already know I gotta keep focused on studies.
Hmm.. well I've made it out just fine until now despite of that rule.

Oh and I've travelled around as well!! I went to so many breathtaking places way back in the provinces here. The mud and the dirt didn't bug me so much as I thought it would, I just enjoyed taking pictures that I emptied 2 whole memory cards!
I don't get much time to use the internet anymore because I'm really enjoying living life right now!

My original roots weren't so bad after all. And I actually liked the seaweed salad and the chicken feet.
But please, no more pork tongue..
..I wonder if they eat pork's brain as well.. :\

Okay. So that's how I've been this whole time. Also an update to remind everyone that I didn't die in a plane crash.

I'm still not going to be active though; I choose not to be for a little more while. I'm recharging myself for inspirations and distressing myself from requests for now. So, I might not submit stuff for a while.
I've missed dA to tears especially all the good ppls here. How've you guys been??
